Through her illustrations, she criticizes society to raise awareness and spread culture.
Egyptian illustrator and designer Deena Mohammad started making comics at the age of eighteen. She created the webcomic Qahera that soon became very popular. It addresses a lot of issues on Islamophobia and misogyny, thus drawing the attention of several international publications that have shed the light on it. Most importantly. It was awarded the Best Digital Comics at CairoComix Festival 2015.
Yet the most important achievement in her career was winning the Best Graphic Novel Award at Cairocomix Festival in 2017 for her graphic novel Shubeik Lubeik by Al Mahrusa Publishers in Egypt. Her novel was also featured in the Arab Comics exhibition in Angouleme at the Comics museum.
Deena has participated in several exhibitions around the world, in Angouleme, Berlin and New York. When she is not making comics, she draws for several clients around the world. She also prefers working on projects related to the community and awareness raising.

بدأت الرسامة والمصممة المصرية دينا محمد عملها في مجال الكوميكس في عمر الثامنة عشر، حيث عملت على «القاهرة» نشرة إلكترونية للكوميكس، التي نالت على الكثير من المدح والشهرة. تناولت «القاهرة» قضايا عن الإسلاموفوبيا (الخوف من الإسلام) والكراهية والعنصرية ضد المرأة، فنالت إعجاب الكثير من المنشورات العالمية التي قامت بنشرها. بالإضافة لفوزها على أفضل كوميكس إلكتروني في مهرجان كايروكوميكس في عام ٢٠١٥.
كان الحدث الأهم في حياتها الفنية هو فوز روايتها المصورة «شبيك لبيك» التي صدرت عن «دار المحروسة» في مصر، بجائزة أفضل رواية مصورة في مهرجان كايروكوميكس في عام 2017.كما شاركت روايتها في المعرض العربي للكوميكس في أنغوليم في متحف الكوميكس .
شاركت دينا في معارض كثيرة حول العالم في أنغوليم وبرلين ونيويورك. وعندما لا تعمل على الكوميكس، فهي ترسم بشكل حرّ لزبائن كثيرين حول العالم. كما تفضل دينا العمل على المشاريع التي تدور أحداثها حول المجتمع والتوعية.
