The artist is passionate about comics and illustration and he dedicates his beautiful honest artistic pieces to Algeria.
Kamal was born on 21 July 1980 in Alger. He studied at the Higher Institute for Fine Arts before starting his long career in media companies and publishing houses. He was coached in the art of comics by Belgian author Étienne Schréder in the context of the International Festival of Comics. A collective album titled Monsters ensued in 2011.
His passion for childhood and his love for artistic innocence led him to design the illustrations for the UNICEF’s handbook for children’s rights. Kamal was also a member of the film direction and artistic design for the animation movie Five (Khamsa) and has worked in video game design at the Nuked Cockroach, a Tunisian indie game studio.
