Syria - 1965
Born in Syria, in 1965, Eyas Jaafar graduated from the faculty of Fine Arts, at Damascus University, in 1987, with a remarkable graduation project “The Legend of Gilgamesh”. He is a member of the Syndicate of Fine Arts in Syria, and in the Sham Association of Arts in Istanbul.
In his beginnings, he participated in different student exhibitions, then later with his fellow artists from inside and outside Syria, such as in Lebanon, Istanbul, France, Italy, Germany and Canada. His drawings were published in multiple Arab magazines including “Arab Woman”, the Saudi Arabian “Ajyal”, the Lebanese “Samer” and the Egyptian “Noun”.
He contributed in founding the Syrian channel “Space Toon” as the first Cartoon Artist there. He also designed different TV advertisements and created many social caricatures for the show “Sabah El Kheir”on the Syrian TV.
He has also produced three short movies for different Awareness Campaigns in the Arab Gulf. Eyas has also worked as a technical team manager in Saudi Arabia, in animation and character designs. Companies specialized in cartoon movies have produced a collection of his works: “Lost Time”, “The tree of life” and “Education for all”, in addition to a series of short movies.
Eyas has produced five short TV films, and many of his caricatured animated movies has been displayed.
About his Artworks, he says: “No matter how sad and lonely it is, I like to keep a glimmer of hope”.
سوريا - ١٩٦٥
ولد عام 1965 في سوريا، وتخرّج من كلية الفنون الجميلة في دمشق عام 1987، حيث كان من الأوائل وكان مشروع تخرجه «أسطورة جلجامش» مما يشير الى ميله الى الخيال. وهو عضو في نقابة الفنون الجميلة في سورية وفي جمعية شام للفنون في اسطنبول.
شارك في البداية في معارض للطلاب وبعدها مع زملائه الفنانين داخل سوريا وخارجها كما في لبنان واسطنبول وفرنسا وايطاليا وألمانيا وكندا. كما نشر رسوماته في مجلات عربية منها «المرأة العربية» و«أجيال» السعودية ، و«سامر» اللبنانية و«نون» المصرية.
ساهم في تأسيس قناة «سبتيس تون » السورية بشكل فني كأول رسام للكرتون، وصمم اعلانات متلفزة كما نفذ رسومات كاريكاتيرية اجتماعية لبرنامج «صباح الخير» على التلفزيون السوري .
أنتج ثلاثة أفلام تلفزيونية قصيرة للحملات التوعوية في الخليج العربي.
عمل إياس جعفر في السعودية كمدير فريق فني في مجال الرسوم المتحركة ومفاتيح الحركة وتصاميم الشخصيات . أنتجت له بعض الشركات المتخصصة في أفلام الكرتون مجموعة من أعماله وهي: الوقت الضائع، شجرة الحياة، والتعليم للجميع بالاضافة الى سلسلة أفلام قصيرة .
أنتج خمسة أفلام تلفزيونية قصيرة وعُرضت له أفلام حول الفن الكاريكاتيري المتحرك .
ويقول اياس جعفر عن أعماله «انها مهما كانت موحشة وحزينة أحب أن يبقى هناك بصيص أمل».
