Walid Taher, an author and designer of children's stories, a visual artist, and a journalist from Egypt. Born in Cairo in 1969, he has published more than forty children's books, including "A Black Dot," which won the Etisalat Award in its second edition. His book "Seven Souls" was longlisted for the Sheikh Zayed Book Award in its seventh edition (2012). His book "The Island of Sea Blessings" was also shortlisted for the Etisalat Award in the Best Production category in 2019.

وليد طاهر، مؤلف ومصمم قصص أطفال وفنان تشكيلي ورسام صحفي من مصر. من مواليد القاهرة، عام 1969. أُصدر له أكثر من أربعين كتاباً للأطفال من ضمنهم «نقطة سوداء» الحائز على جائزة اتصالات في دورتها الثانية. ترشح كتابه «سبع أرواح» ضمن القائمة الطويلة لجائزة الشيخ زايد في دورتها السابعة (2012). كما ترشح كتابه «جزيرة البحار بركات» لجائزة اتصالات- فئة أفضل إخراج في عام 2019.
