An Interview with Mohammed Kraytem
How did you start doing comics?
It all started when I was around 6 with Inspecteur Bayard, Tintin and Superhero comics. I grew up reading comics and drawing my favorite characters, and telling stories.
What is your process from start to finish when working on a comic book?
I usually start with ideas and research, then comes the thumbnailing with the script or the description, then I start working on my pages then wasting more time on research and finally throwing them away because I’m never happy with the results and starting all over again.
Where would you like to go after finishing your first comic? What is your next step?
I’m currently working on new stories for my zine, and other stories for comics collectives in Lebanon and Denmark. My next step is making more comics, with better narration and taking on new subjects and themes etc...
