He believes that Caricature is the torch of revolution. Caricaturist, visual artist, and a Libyan university professor born in 1961 in Libya and residing in the capital Tripoli.
After a 35 years’ career in Libyan and Arabic newspapers, Khairi is currently working in Al Wasat Institution which is an electronic gate, a weekly newspaper, and a television channel. He organized lots of exhibitions in many countries including Hungary, Portugal, and Tunisia.
Khairi Al Sherif considers the art of caricature in the lead of keeping up with the social, economic, and political the changes happening in the Libyan society in spite of the absence of means of publishing in Libya due to the current situation.
He adds that the caricature is an honest, sarcastic, and critical mirror for these changes and transformations despite the risks that the artist faces. This art developed its techniques to re-evaluate these changes in order to introduce them in a new way which go hand in hand with the form and content of the society movement.
He also states that nothing could make a drastic change as this art does, which the society should be able to receive and understand because it makes a revolution inside the society that might push it towards other revolutions like the productive and scientific revolutions.

يؤمن بأن الكاريكاتور هو شعلة الثورة. رسام كاريكاتور، فنان تشكيلي، وأستاذ جامعي ليبي، ولد عام 1961 في ليبيا ومقيم في العاصمة طرابلس.
بعد مشوار عملي لمدة 35 سنة في الصحف العربية والليبية، يعمل خيري حاليا في مؤسسة الوسط وهي بوابة إلكترونية وجريدة ورقية أسبوعية وقناة تلفزيونية. أقام العديد من المعارض في دول كثيرة منها المجر، والبرتغال وتونس.
يعتبر خيري الشريف فن الكاريكاتور على أنه في مقدمة المواكبين للمتغيرات التي تحدث في المجتمع الليبي، المتغيرات السياسية والإقتصادية والإجتماعية على الرغم من إفتقاد وسيلة النشر في ليبيا بسبب الوضع الراهن.
يضيف أن الكاريكاتور هو مرآة صادقة وساخرة وناقدة لهذه التغييرات والتحولات رغم المخاطر التي يتعرض لها الفنان. فقد طور هذا الفن أساليبه لقراءة هذه المتغيرات لطرحها بشكل جديد يواكب شكل ومضمون حركة المجتمع.
يذكر أيضاً أنه لم يستطع شيء أن يحدث تغييرا جذريا كما يفعل هذا الفن الذي يجب على المجتمع أن يكون قادرا على تلقيه كي يستوعبه، لأنه يحدث ثورة داخل المجتمع قد تنقله إلى ثورات أخرى مثل ثورة الانتاج وثورة العلم.
