Bahrain - 1985
Nawaf Al Mulla, a cartoonist, born in Bahrain, he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, from Kuwait, in 2005. In 2017, he received his Master’s degree in Talent and Creativity from the Arab Gulf University.
He began his career by drawing caricatures in different publications, locally and abroad Bahrain, before joining “Al-Bilad” newspaper in 2008, as a professional cartoonist. His drawings focused more on people’s affairs and concerns, as well as political affairs, in a satirical comic style.
His participation in the annual conference of the Association of American Cartoonist (AAEC) was remarkable, through his discussions with many professional cartoonists and his presention of his experience with the importance of caricature in the Arab region. In addition to caricature, he contributed in designing logos, slogans and Fine Art, as well as participating in many exhibitions inside Bahrain and abroad.
Al Mulla successes were many, as he won the first prize of the “Media Viewer Award” for the Bahraini Women’s Council, for the caricature category. He also won the first prize for designing the “National Service” logo in the United Arab Emirates, as well as his success in designing the logo for the “2021 Asian Youth Games”.
The best of his achievements, that same year, was winning the “Arab Journalism Award” in Dubai, with an iconic and remarkable caricature that demonstrated tweets in cyberspace, referring to them as bees heading toward our mobile phones.
بحرين - ١٩٨٥
وُلد في البحرين وتلقى علومه في الكويت ليحصل عام 2005 على بكالوريوس في التصميم الداخلي.
كما نال عام 2017 من جامعة الخليج العربي شهادة الماجيستر في مجال الموهبة والابداع.
بدء رسمه للكاريكاتير في منشورات ومطبوعات عدة داخل وخارج البحرين، قبل ان يلتحق بصحيفة البلاد عام 2008 كرسام كاريكاتير محترف، واهتمت رسوماته بقضايا الناس وهمومهم وبالشأن السياسي ايضا بأسلوب لماح وكوميدي ساخر.
ساهم الى جانب الكاريكاتير في تصميم الشعارات بالاضافة الفن التشكيلي، وشارك الملا في العديد من المعارض والمسابقات داخل وخارج البحرين، من بينها مشاركته في المؤتمر السنوي لرابطة رسامي الكاريكاتير الاميركيين AAEC، حيث عرض تجربته مع هذا الفن وأهمية الكاريكاتير في الوطن العربي، مناقشا عددا من رسامي الكاريكاتير المخضرمين.
حقق الملا نجاحات كثيرة ،اذ فاز بالمركز الاول لجائزة الرائي الاعلامي لمجلس المرأة البحرينية عن فئة الكاريكاتير، كما حاز على المركز الاول لتصميم شعار الخدمة الوطنية في دولة الامارات العربية المتحدة، كما نجح في تصميم نفذه لدورة الالعاب الاسيوية للشباب للعام 2021.
