Egypt - 1982
Makhlouf is an Egyptian caricaturist, born in 1982 currently residing and working in Cairo. He developed his artistic talent at artist Salah El-Gamal's studio, where he learned much from El-Gamal's experience. In 2003, he began his artistic journey as a children's books illustrator, then entered into journalism at "Al-Araby Al-Nasery" newspaper. Between 2005 and 2008, he joined "Al-Dostor" newspaper, which was his first real experience in journalism in terms of experimentation, in writing, drawing, and in comics. "Ibrahim Eissa", was the editor-in-chief of the newspaper at that time and encouraged the idea of reviving art in journalism while giving caricature a renewed spirit. Meanwhile, the caricature department was led by artist "Amr Salim" at the time, whom he benefited from and was influenced by over the years.
In 2008-2009, he designed the cover of "Al-Ahram Al-Eqtisady" magazine. He co-founded "TokTok" magazine in 2011, with artists (Shennawy, Hicham Rahma, Andeel, Tawfik), which presented illustrated stories for adults.
Since 2011, Makhlouf has held several workshops in the field of "caricature and comics", either individually or in collaboration with artists (Shennawy and Migo), and in cooperation with institutions such as (Mazj, Cairopolitan, and Al-Balad Library). From 2008 to date, his drawings are published in "Al-Masry Al-Youm" newspaper.

رسام كاريكاتير مصري، من مواليد 1982، يعيش ويعمل في القاهرة حالياً. لم يلتحق في بدايته بأي معهد فني أكاديمي، لكنه تعلم على أيدي الفنانين. فسعى لتنمية موهبته في مرسم الفنان "صالح الجمل"، حيث تتلمذ على يديه، وتعلّم من خبرته. عام 2003 بدأت رحلته الفنيّة كرسام لكتب الأطفال، ثم انطلق في مجال الصحافة بجريدة "العربي الناصري". بين عام 2005 وعام 2008 انضم لجريدة "الدستور"، وهناك عاش أول تجربة صحافية حقيقية له من حيث المساحة والتجريب، في الكتابة والرسم والقصص المصوّرة comics. كان رئيس تحرير الجريدة وقتئذ "إبراهيم عيسى" الذي كان يشجع الفنانين الشباب على إحياء فكرة الرسوم في الصحافة وبث روح جديدة في فن الكاريكاتير.أما قسم الكاريكاتير فكان يرأسه الفنان "عمرو سليم" الذي استفاد من العمل معه في هذه السنوات وتأثّر به.
كما أنه تولّى رسم غلاف مجلة "الأهرام الإقتصادي"في عامي 2008 - 2009. عام 2011 أسّس بالاشتراك مع الفنانين (شناوي - هشام رحمة - أنديل - توفيق) مجلة "توك توك"، التي قدّمت قصصًا مصوّرة للكبار.
منذ عام 2011، أقام الفنان العديد من ورش العمل المتخصصة في مجالات "الكاريكاتير والقصص المصوّرة"، بشكل فردي أو بالإشتراك مع الفنانين (شناوي - ميجو) وذلك بالتعاون مع المؤسسات (مزج - كايروبوليتان - مكتبة البلد). منذ عام 2008 ولغاية الآن ما زالت رسومه تنشر في جريدة "المصري اليوم".
