Iraq
Ali Alawi is an artist and journalist born in 1982 in Baghdad. He currently lives abroad in Europe. He graduated from the Department of Fine Arts in 2008, and began his artistic career and passion for drawing since childhood, where art was a family heritage. His love for art grew greatly, and he began his journey in the world of drawing and caricature in particular through the satirical magazine “Alf Baa”, where he was attracted by the works of great artists such as Muayed Neama and Khudair Al Himyari and many other artists.
Ali has worked as a journalist publishing cartoons in local magazines and newspapers since 2003. He has received many certificates of appreciation and participated in international exhibitions and competitions. He has also participated in more than 100 caricature exhibitions, and has won first, second, and third place prizes multiple times. He has also been selected as a member of the judging committees in Syria, Egypt, and Iraq.

علي علاوي، فنان وصحفي مواليد عام 1982 في بغداد، يقيم حاليًا في المهجر بأوروبا. خريج قسم الفنون الجميلة للفترة ما بين 2003 و2008، بدأ مسيرته الفنية وشغفه بالرسم منذ الطفولة، حيث كان الفن موروثًا عائليًا. نما حبه للفن بشكل كبير، وبدأ رحلته في عالم الرسم والكاريكاتير بشكل خاص من خلال مجلة "ألف باء" الساخرة، حيث جذبته أعمال كبار الفنانين مثل الأستاذ مؤيد نعمه والأستاذ خضير الحميري والعديد من الفنانين الآخرين.
عمل كصحفي لنشر الرسوم في المجلات والصحف المحلية منذ عام 2003، وحصل على العديد من شهادات التقدير والمشاركات في المعارض والمسابقات الدولية، شارك فيما يقارب أكثر من 100 معرض كاريكاتيري أو ربما أكثر، وحقق مراتب الفوز ضمن الجوائز الثلاث الأولى أكثر من مرة. كما تم اختياره كعضو في لجان التحكيم في سوريا ومصر والعراق.
