Tunisia
Moez Tabia is a Tunisian artist who began his career designing children’s books. He then moved on to drawing and writing comics, designing movie and TV show ads, and dabbling in animation. He has also won awards and has worked in humanitarian comics, such as when he designed a children’s book for the Tunisian Celiac Association titled “Amal.” In addition, he has created other humorous books, designed digital games, and conducted important training sessions on comic drawing and design, illustration, and graphic design.
Moez has worked with international organizations and NGOs to create comics on a variety of social, cultural, and political topics. In Tunisia, he worked with Lab619, which includes about 30 comic artists, and has helped organize many important activities.
One of the most important things about Moez’s artistic personality is that he does not settle for any one artistic field or limit himself to one style. Sometimes he is very realistic, and other times he takes his drawing to the shores of abstraction. He is always exploring and searching for new and amazing things, both to expand his range of work and because he is closer to the experimental artistic personality that refuses to settle down and be guided by teachers and artistic movements.

فنان تونسي بدأ مشواره الفني بتصميم كتب الأطفال، قبل أن يدخل معترك رسم القصص المصورة وتأليفها، وتصميم إعلانات أفلام وبرامج تلفزيونية، وخوض غمار الرسوم المتحركة، وقبل أن يبدأ حصد الجوائز، والعمل على المساهمة في تخفيف المشكلات الإنسانية من خلال التفاعل مع الشرائط المصورة، كما فعل عندما صمم كتاباً للأطفال للجمعية التونسية لمرض السيلياك، بعنوان "أمل". إلى جانب كتب أخرى فكاهية، وتصميم ألعاب رقمية، والقيام بتدريبات مهمة على الرسم والتصميم الكوميديين، والرسم التوضيحي، والتصميم الغرافيكي.
إشتغل معز مع مؤسسات دولية ومنظمات غير حكومية، لإنشاء قصص مصورة حول مواضيع اجتماعية وثقافية وسياسية متنوعة، كما عمل، في تونس، مع مجموعة Lab619 التي تضم نحو 30 رساماً، والتي ساهمت في تنظيم الكثير من الأنشطة المهمة.
أهم ما في شخصية معز الفنية أنه لا يستقر على مجال فني بعينه، ولا يحصر نفسه بنمط، مرة يكون شديد الواقعية، ومرة أخرى يأخذ رسمه إلى ضفاف التجريد، فهو دائم الاستكشاف والبحث عن جديد مدهش، لتوسيع مروحة العمل من جهة، ولأنه أقرب إلى الشخصية الفنية التجريبية، التي ترفض الاستقرار والاسترشاد بأساتذة وتيارات فنية، من جهة أخرى.
